ULTY analysis

Bel'Veth trades early invades for late-game scaling as Naafiri and Riven get trimmed

This patch pulls back several high performers (Naafiri, Riven, Locke, Sylas) while giving a handful of junglers a lift (Maokai, Zac, Volibear). Bel'Veth is reshaped into a later-peaking champion. Item changes make on-hit, crit and lethality builds more attractive, and the nerf to Jack of All Trades slightly weakens flexible rune pages.

Trends

  1. 01

Strong assassins and skirmishers get trimmed

Naafiri, Riven, Locke and Sylas all lose damage or safety. Expect their win rates to fall, mainly in the early to mid game.

  2. 02

    Jungle diversity buffs

Maokai, Zac and Volibear receive buffs aimed at clear speed, ganks or engage. Bel'Veth's early weakness may leave room for tankier or utility junglers.

  3. 03

    Scaling items for ADCs

Terminus, Yun Tal Wildarrows and Bastionbreaker are all buffed. On-hit and crit marksmen gain better build options, and some lethality users may prefer a utility item.

Items3

  • Bastionbreaker

    Buff

A cheaper price and a stronger true-damage effect make this item easier to buy and more worthwhile for lethality users. It has barely been played, so it is likely to see more use, though it may still be a niche pick.

    • CostBuff

      Before: 3200g

    • Shaped Charge DamageBuff

      Before: (30 + 150% lethality) true damage

      Now: (50 + 150% lethality) true damage

  • Terminus

    Buff

The Shadow on-hit damage now scales with bonus AD and AP, so it keeps pace through the late game. On-hit carries get a stronger scaling reason to finish this item rather than treat it as a mid-game spike.

    • Unique - Shadow

      Before: 30 Magic Damage On-Hit

Now: 30 (+10% bonus Attack Damage) (+10% Ability Power)

  • Yun Tal Wildarrows

    Buff

A lower price and more attack speed make this crit item easier to complete and improve its early and mid-game strength. It should be more competitive with the other early crit options.

    • CostBuff

      Before: 850g

      Now: 750g

    • Attack SpeedBuff

      Before: 40%

      Now: 45%

Runes1

  • Jack of All Trades

    Nerf

Adaptive force at the stat breakpoints is lower, so the rune provides less power both in the early game and once fully stacked. Off-meta builds that rely on it will feel the loss but it remains usable.

    • Adaptive Force at 5 / 10 stat breakpointsNerf

      Before: 10 / 25

      Now: 8 / 20
